      Yes, and I ask others for advice all the time. Where I work, there are engineers with lots of different skills, so we’re always asking each other for advice. “Got a problem with a turbine blade structural design? 537beb28 used to work on that stuff. Go get some advice”. Sometimes companies need advice (consultancy) on a project, and that can turn into a whole project of its own.
