• Question: How did you get involved in your projects?

      The projects I work on are usually funded by big companies in the communications industry. They will come to my boss with a specific problem they want help with and ask us to work on it for them. The projects I work on would then come from this. Normally the problem the company has is broken down into small pieces and we get different engineers to work on each piece. That way we can get lots of work done!

      Other times, the projects I’m involved in can be fun little things that I am trying to do myself that I’m interested in. This could be like making a new type of laser or using lasers in a way that hasn’t been done before.
