I worked on a device to give medical injections without a needle. It was amazing, and it really worked! But sadly it didn’t quite go all the way.

The most interesting project was when I was assigned as project manager to take over checking that all the security at airports and cargo companies meets the rules set by Europe. I had to design processes, write the text for new laws, recruit people and get people trained.

The most interesting project I’ve ever worked on was also the hardest one I ever worked on! We were designing new lasers and circuits for a telecommunications company. There was supposed to be 4 of us working on the project together, but one person had to drop out at the last minute. To make matters worse…we had a really tight deadline of 1 year to get the project finished! There were a lot of late nights and working weekends, but we just about got it done on time! To make up for having one less person, the three of us had to learn lots of new skills and do different parts of the project that we weren’t expecting. It was a great experience because I got to work on things that I don’t usually do…it was stressful but really interesting work!

Designing a hydraulic fracturing plant for my final year project.

Hydraulic fracturing is where you get the gas that’s trapped in the rock deep underground the earth. It is a sensitive moral subject but it was the first time I actually built designed anything substantial.

I felt like Dr. Frankenstein. It’s ALIVE!!
