      That’s a good question!
      For some of the open-source 3D printer designs, you can actually get people to 3D print the individual parts you need to build your own. I think printing a full 3D printer is a bit away yet, but with the way technology is progressing it will happen sooner or later!

      There is a nice interview here with the engineer who started RepRap, a 3D printer than can nearly print a copy of itself.

      Hi Tiernan,

      I’m sure as it advances 3D printers will be able to print anything! Imagine ordering a pizza and printing it out. That would be very cool!
