      yes absolutely but only because i choose to. I could do my work mostly behind a desk if I liked. For our researchers going out to do work in say Galway Bay, we make sure we train them first. we have a great facility next door to us. http://www.nmci.ie/seasurvivalfaciliti

      Through my job I have got my powerboat license. We also own a jetski and our researchers use that for beach survey work.
