I work in a company of 450 people. There are 18 people between Dublin and Belfast in my specialist area but there are only 3 people on my studies team. Its great because there’s always someone to talk to about issues and much of my work involves discussions with other teams and groups.

yes absolutely. I dont have all the answers. There are 45 researchers here (guys and girls) working on all aspects of ocean energy, not just engineering. from law to environment to economics as well as the engineering.

You will find that most engineering is done in teams

Of course, we have 18 people in the Dublin office and around 160 people in the total company. I also work with lots of other Universities and companies on my projects from all over Europe.

I work both on my own and with others. For my PhD research thesis I need to invent/discover something that no one else has done. However I can’t do this on my own, I collaborate with a number of different people both from engineering and outside of engineering. They give me advice, materials, equipment etc..
