• Question: have you built inverter generator out of a lawn mower engine and a car alernator?

      Sadly no, but it sounds like its worth trying. Have you ever done it?

      Yes we did it in 3rd year machines. We used a mini (the car) alternator which I think from my recollection was a Bosch part

      No I havent. When I was in secondary school I build a lathe for turning wood. I got a set of variable speed pullies from a scrap yard. That allowed me change rotation speed when the lated was running. That is very handy as you can start off slow and just speed up as the the work progresses
