Good question. Obviously, my day job is around our future energy needs. I am tasked with identifying how much wind or wave or oil or gas power plants we actually need. I work on the process that allows them to connect. Obviously a focus on renewables such as wind, biomass or CHP and getting them onto the power system allows a more sustainable future since it can be produced here in Ireland.

My job is to create software products that help to make buildings likes schools, offices, hospitals etc more energy efficient. Its all about reducing energy, or using energy when its easier to generate to create “Smart” buildings. The aim with all of this is to create a sustainable future where use less energy in general. So it’s completely integrated in to my job.

My work is all about sustainability, creating energy from bountiful renewable sources. BUT sustainability is not just about resource and environment.. I spend most of my time proving that it is financially sustainable against other sources

Like Ray & Ashley, my work is about providing sustainability from renewable energy. I think a lot of jobs these days are very aware and concious of sustainability. It’s not just about providing cheap and clean renewable energy. It’s about financial, material, supply, meeting demand sustainability.
