Aw thanks John! I still have your papers hanging up.
This is such a hard question because I want to see them all. They all look really cool from outreach in Kosovo to Arduino boards which I love. I think though my favourite (by a nanometer or a margin) would be Ray’s portable ocean energy demo kit. It sounds pretty cool and I’ve already asked for one /energyn14-zone/2014/11/11/how-does-the-portable-energy-demo-kit-benefit-schools/#comment-577 😀
Good question and thanks Laura for your vote. We have already built a lot of the demo and included wind, wave and tidal devices.. all of which you can touch and interact with.. BUT I would like to allow the schoolkids to really interact through an ipad (or other tablet) front end so they can actually see and control some of the bizzare phenomonen…. for example wave energy devices sometimes go don instead of up when a wave passes… or how you can throw lots of energy at a device and almost nothing gets converted.
Anyway by a tiny margin, Laura as I want to see the lighthouse.
Geez, that is difficult – can’t we all win and have all the projects ideas come to life 🙂
Everyone has done great over the last week and a half and have cool ideas for the money. If I’m pushed for an answer I’ll have to go with Laura too, because:
a. Female engineers rock 😉
b. She’s put in a great effort in the chats and answering questions every day!
@Sarah No, it was the lab next door! I share the big lab with my colleagues, the one with the lasers in my photo and that’s the one I turned pink. John’s old lab, is all mine! Ok, I might let some other people use it, but it’s really mine! In that lab, I have marks & stickers all over the floor from my experiments. I had to have the testing samples & camera on the ground, not the bench, so I drew all over the floor 😀 You can definitely tell when I work in a lab.

I still have a key! I must reclaim my old space!

Hahaha 😀 I haven’t cleaned the whiteboard – it’s still the same. A new lecturer is now moving in 🙁

It still has the GLIC schematic/eqns? Cool.
Oh wow, Ray is evicted. And then there were 3!
