Every engineer has a different answer to this, depending on their particular area. Civil engineers look after infrastructure projects like buildings or roads, chemical engineers look after environmental and food issues whereas electronics engineers look after communications, new technology and biomedical devices and electrical engineers look after power system or generation issues. Even within these areas there’s lot of different thing you can do. For example, an electronics engineer might specialise in telecoms.
From there, they might decide to focus on optoelectronics. This means looking at electrical devices, lasers and fiber optics. Within this space, they might decide to focus on building the components themselves i.e. laser design etc or the network of how they function. Things cant just work on their own, they need to work with everything else. This is the best part of the challenge, interactions!

Engineering is about solving a problem or improving something to be better/more efficient/smarter. Engineers create and make innovative ideas come to life.

Here is a quote from engineering uk.
Engineers shape the word we live in, by designing, creating, testing, and improving almost every product or process you can think of!

That pretty much sums it up. The engineers we have in the group do a wide variety of jobs across many fields.. All of which will contribute to your future and it’s quality of life.

It’s essentially about solving problems, improving something or creating something new completly
