      Mine = a matchbox sized wavelength meter for measuring lasers output
      Someone else’s = the steam turbine (an Irish guy called Charles parsons)

      I designed and built a log splitter that fits onto the front loader on a tractor. It can pick up logs up to four feet long and split them in two down the centre.

      The first commercial electric light bulb this was invented by Thomas Edison and helped bring use of electricity to people’s homes

      As Ray said, not really an invention but it has to be electricity. It literally changed the world!

      Air travel. I love travelling and I couldn’t imagine a world where we don’t have planes. I’d love to have the chance to go into space.
