  I spend most of my time in an office but do get out on site to see generators like coal, gas or wind in action. I’ve been to most of the plants on the Irish power system. (Turlough Hill pumped storage is my favourite). I also visit stations to see transformers and other equipment in action.
  I go to a lot of conferences and workshops which are usually in other countries to learn about other systems and explain how we do things.
  There’s plenty of opportunities to get out and about!
