Same, I generally walk and when I need to go places outside Cork I use trains or buses or get a lift. Not owning a car is the easiest way to avoid using one.
I do not own a car, but a hybrid car would be definitely a good alternative to petrol cars. Electric cars, while cleaner may not provide the range as petrol cars and take longer to charge as well
No hybrid or electric car yet – holding out for the batteries to get better! But we only use the car for bigger trips. We cycle or scoot (manual scooters) most places we can for work, school, activities etc.
