That’s a tough question. I really enjoyed working in Ericsson programming their equipment for phone networks. Also I worked in a European research project called ECONET where we looked at ways of reducing the energy used in phone/computer networks and some of this work was added as recommendations to the code of conduct for makers of broadband equipment that is used in many households across the EU.
The project I am working on now (Industry4.E Lighthouse) is really interesting in that there are so many new improvements in farms and factories, and their products, that are made possible by Industry4.0 digital technologies (new machines, methods and computer programs like 3D modelling and printing, robotics, sensors, very accurate test simulations and data analytics). In farms, that means more food available for our ever-growing population. In factories, it means new products made to the highest quality are great for us and the environment too. Industry4.0 is changing the way people work and is opening many exciting opportunities in Europe
