      In the basic ones we build in rural areas, people will bring water with them from wherever they collect it and manually flush with a bucket or a jug. Some areas don’t flush as they don’t have enough water and the waste just drops directly into a pit.

      If you google ‘pour flush latrine’ you’ll see some examples.
