• Question: How much does a hippopotamus weigh?

      Hi Ashling, I cheated and looked on Google; it weighs about 1500 kgs. Very heavy but if the hippo was to fly through space and land on the comet Rosetta is orbiting then it would weigh 15 grams believe it or not as the gravity is so low there. That would be a pretty interesting sight to see a hippo running on the surface of a comet 🙂

      al lot – I hope one doesn´t sit on me. I saw a herd of them once in a safari park in Kenya . they are very impressive animals. They only eat grass from the bottom of the river!
