Thats a great question, and thanks so much for asking me it.
I don’t think anything led me to become an actress. I think I was always both an actress AND a scientist. But up until the point that I decided to step away from science for a bit, I hadn’t devoted any time to being an actress up until that point. So it was really confusing for me for a long time as to why when I was working in science that I wanted to be an actress and then when I was acting that I would miss Science. And then I figured out one day that I must be both things at the same time- which was weird at first because they both seem so different. And I had a good long think and figured out that I had to find a way of being both, because otherwise, I would also be missing science or acting. And now because I make shows about science that I can perform in, I have found a way to be both, at the same time- phew! Big relief for me!!

Good for you Saoirse- there is no rule book- you just keep doing what you love, even if its a number of things at the same time. Good luck!
