I think I knew when I started programming our family computer – we used to write code to make games and stuff and sometimes you would just copy & paste games from somewhere online. And then they didn’t work. And so I would spend hours going through the code, line by line to find the error. And whenever I found the error, I would get such a thrill, that I had managed to figure it out, I really enjoyed that feeling. Then I started noticing that I got that feeling too when I would take something apart and figure out how to fix it. Then my family would get me to fix things for them. My Dad is an engineer too and one day he told me that the way I enjoyed figuring things out, is exactly what makes a good engineer. And so we had a chat about what I wanted to do in college and he advised me to study engineering. But by the way, I also get that feeling when I create things artistically too!
