Question: do you do any coding with your job

Gosh, yes. I write code to download, read and analyse data, to move data around from place to place, to try to predict what the ocean will look like (we run a wave model, which is many many thousands of lines of code), to try to see what it has looked like, to test different ways of looking at data. I spend a lot more time coding than I thought I would when I was in college!
