      Great question.

Atoms are what make up everything you see around you. They are the lego pieces to all matter, and they are made inside stars. Stars are basically giant fireballs that cook up atoms inside them through a process called nuclear fusion. Nuclear fusion is basically when the nuclei of two or more atoms merge together. When this happens, an atom is born and this birth also releases energy which comes in the form of sunlight and heat for us. So look up at the sun today and realise that the light you are seeing and the heat rays you are getting is as a result of atoms being born inside our sun.

      That means that:

The atoms that make up your body were made inside a star.

Also, when high mass stars get on in their later years, and it’s time for them to go. Instead of going graciously like us humans, they get really small and then BOOM, they end in an a massive explosion releasing all their insides everywhere. These insides then clump together and cool down to form new solar systems. As L.Krauss said, “The stars were kind enough to die in order for us to be here”.
