Question: What do satellites do

There are loads of different types of satellites. They can do communications, media (like tv), astronomy, earth observation…. Each one is designed for a particular job, so some are in very high orbits, like the weather satellites that see the same part of the earth all the time, or low orbits which mean they only see the same part of the earth once a day, or even less.
