I’ve been studying astronomy and space science for 4 and a half years now. I did my undergraduate degree in UCD in Physics with Astronomy and Space Science, and it was an amazing 4 years. I learned so much. Now I’m a PhD student, so I research space. I do this in 2 ways – using the Watcher robotic telescope in South Africa to observe gamma-ray bursts, which are the light from dying or merging stars, and by helping to build Ireland’s first satellite, EIRSAT-1.

The short answer is: all my life!
I was interested in engineering from as long as I can remember.
I became an engineer “officially” when I got an engineering degree, when I was 21 years old.
Since then I’ve been a professional engineer.
