The first ever I’m an Engineer event in Ireland is barely over, and we have some good news to share.
Thanks to funding from Science Foundation Ireland’s Discover Programme, we will be running 3 more zones of I’m an Engineer in 2015.
The first of these zones will coincide with Engineers Week in February 2015. We’re looking for 5 engineers to answer questions, online, from inquisitive students all around Ireland, for the 2 weeks of Monday 2nd – Friday 13th February.
Engineers, apply at: iaeie.ddev.site/engineers-apply
Teachers, sign up at: iaeie.ddev.site/teachers
The application deadline is early in the New Year, on Wednesday 7th January.
Have a look at the kinds of questions asked in the themed Energy Zone and general engineering Kelvin Zone, to see what taking part involves.
As engineer David said “I was very impressed with the questions, which covered all kinds of aspects of engineering and science as well as what it’s like to actually be a working engineer… Good luck to the next generation of Engineers!”
The remaining I’m an Engineer zones will run during Science Week in November 2015, alongside more I’m a Scientist zones.
