Dublin is a small place and the tech community is even smaller.
I met Conor for the first time about 6 years ago in Vienna at a Robotics competition. It was great to arrive and Vienna and just find out there are other Irish people into robots. Over the years we have keep in touch running into each others at events.
I think I met Sarah for the first time in 2014. I had heard of the great things she was doing in DCU Coder Dojo Girls for a good couple of months from mutual friends. We first got to work together on an event called Galileo Girls. It was a team from Intel, Coder Dojo Girls and Tog coming together to run a hackthon for girls aged 12- 18. It was a chance for them to get into making. https://www.siliconrepublic.com/innovation/2014/10/13/galileo-girls-event-lights-up-with-creativity-at-dcu
Heya,
I have only met Jeffrey before. He has helped us at CoderDojo to come up with cool ideas for our maker events. The special Galileo Girls event we worked on was pretty amazing – there were 70 girls all programming small computers to flash lights and buzz for the first time!
