      I studied French and Irish through to the Leaving Cert and German for the Jr cert. However I am tone deaf so I have always really struggled to understand when someone is speaking to me in a foreign language. And I can only imagine how bad my spoken language is! Luckily for me I was able to take all of these subjects at an honors level because for some reason the exam system in Ireland favours written ability over verbal/aural ability which is madness imo! It’s a bit of a joke really now that I think about it.

      I studied French and Irish for the leaving cert both at ordinary level. I am terrible at them. I failed Irish, I could just not get my head around it. French was not so bad but no honors student at them,.
