I have a lenova smartphone at the moment – dont ask me what model, its a chinese import. Tbh despite being an engineer, I’m not much of a technology guy – and I like good design over high specs and day of the week!
In general I would prefer an old school button phone. However its actually really hard to get by without whatsapp and email etc. I’ve never had an iPhone so don’t really know what im missing out on there.
At the moment I have a Nexus 4. I think its due for an upgrade. The battery is just not lasting a day anymore.
On terms of which phone to get ?
I would never buy an iPhone. They are too expensive. But worse than the cost is the walled garden effect. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Closed_platform
When I buy a phone I dont want to have to buy a mac and a ipad just to use all the features. Apple refuse to adopt a standard changer like all the other phone makers.
The reason I like Android is that you can change things. You can put another OS on your phone if you wish. Like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CyanogenMod / It just gives you more freedom. It also helps that they are cheaper. 🙂
