Question: What was the hardest thing you had to do but you accomplished it?

Delivering on all of the things I set out to do on my PhD, definitely. A PhD degree is a degree you get by conducting research and describing this work in a thesis. This thesis must be assessed by experts in the field – and the student is required to verbally defend the thesis also. There are no exams. Imagine in secondary school from 2nd year onwards there were no tests and at the end of the 6th year, the only way you could pass was to write a document summerising all you learnt. And you would have to defend this document in front of teachers who had much more experience and knowledge then you had.
Sounds tough right?

I took on a massive amount of work for my PhD project – probably alot more than was necessary. But hopefully it will be worth it. I will find out over the next few years.
