A lot of people will tell you that engineering is very difficult, don’t let them turn you away from what you want to do. Stay curious keep asking questions of how and why things happen. I would recommend taking physics if you can as lots of principles in physics are applied in engineering on a daily basis. Nearly everything you do in engineering will be underpinned by maths of some kind, so try your best in maths if you can. I was and still am only ok at maths so I spend lots of time checking and making sure my answers make sense.
Aside from all of that, make sure that you enjoy what you are doing, because doing something you dislike is way harder than doing something you love.
