The main reason is that the production of biocoal produces a kind of tar as a byproduct. Over a few hours this tar will clog up the machine and force it to shut down. It is very expensive to clean and takes a lot of time. Our technology solves this problem meaning it can run continuously without clogging. So it now becomes possible to make biocoal economically.
