Burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas to heat our homes or travel around are the biggest sources of air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions which contribute to climate change. Plastic waste is also a huge problem because it won’t naturally decompose and there is so much of it.

Single-use plastic is pretty terrible because it frequently doesn’t get recycled properly and ends up in the ocean. It breaks into small pieces and then when fish eat it, it can show up in our food. As consumers, we need to encourage producers and our governments to give us other options.
Carbon dioxide emissions and air pollution from burning fossil fuels causes both global climate change and also local breathing difficulties.
Some of the worst things for our environment are:
1. Waste production and disposal. Every year million tons of plastic wastes are disposed into the oceans or seas or wasteland and destroy the ecosystem there
2. Oil spills in the oceans. This is one of the major concerns surrounding oil drilling. Since a lot of the fossil fuel reserves lie under the ocean bed, a lot of care needs to be taken when drilling for oil. Unfortunately one small drop of oil could spread through a very large surface in the ocean and cut off oxygen supply to millions of lifeforms underneath it.
What we can do from our side is, to reduce any form of waste, reuse any cardboard, or plastics. Ex. online shopping actually very bad for the environment as a lot of paper is used for individually packing the orders and CO2 emissions in shipping every item individually to your doorstep.
recycle anything possible. There are tons of DIY videos online where you can make anything out of anything. 😉
