My name is Bobby, I am 23 years old. I was born and live in Galway.
Sport is a big part of my live. I play rugby and practice mixed martial arts such as boxing jiu jitsu and wrestling. I have fought at a national level, winning 10 out of my 11 competitions.
I enjoy watching TV and my favourite show is the big bang theory.

Composite materials are extremely strong, for their weight, when compared to normal engineering materials like steel. This has lead to a large amount of research into how composites can be used to replace steel parts.
Unfortunately, composites are only strong in one direction. They need to be piled on top of each other to give us strength in all directions.

My dad
What did you want to be after you left school?
I wasn’t sure but I knew I would like to solve some physical problems which is why I became an engineer
Were you ever in trouble at school?
Yes but never for anything too serious
If you weren't doing this job, what would you choose instead?
I would probably be a game designer or something along those lines
