It would be. They just recently finished a 34 mile sea bridge from China to Hong-Kong. From the closest point of Ireland to Scotland the distance is around 12 miles. The main issue though is whether the bridge will be worth the large cost (which could be as high as €17 billion!).
It would most likely be possible, but there are a number of things you would need to think about, for example:
– Is it worth the cost or is there a better way to travel?
– How will it affect ships in places it crosses the water?
– What will support the bridge in the water? Would you need materials to go all the way to the ocean floor or could it somehow float?
