  At the moment we cannot make an artificial lung there are machines that can help your cousins lung but at present the only treatment is a lung replacement. We hope with tissue engineering that some day we will be able to make a tissue engineered lung but we are still a long way off. I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer. I hope your cousin gets the lung replacement she needs soon.
