  I think it would take some huge advance in technology to make flying cars a reality. For small payloads (like letters or small parcels) I think they will become common quite soon, but for something as heavy as a human, I think we would need some kind of new physics to get people off the ground without using too much fuel. So I don’t want to say never, but no time soon!
