Question: what advice would you give to someone who wants to be an engineer someday in the future ?

My advice if to make sure you are doing some science subjects for your leaving cert. Physics, engineering and applied maths are useful but not necessary. When you get to college, you’ll learn loads of new things so try not to be overwhelmed! You are there to learn – not to know all the answers. Getting a work placement as an engineer is also a really good idea. You’ll get to see engineering in action which is always helpful. Best of luck with it!
