My Work: I'm trying to find the best stent design to treat arteries in the leg!
-
Read more
Sometimes arteries can get clogged with fat, which stops blood flowing freely through the artery. Stents are cylindrical tubes which push the fat (plaque) back against the artery wall, so that blood can flow all throughout the body.
There are lots of different types of stent designs. Engineers and doctors try to pick the best stent design that will hold the fat against the artery wall and not crack over time. Can you spot any differences between these stents?
