      I am a PhD student at Tyndall national institute. I live in Cork with my family. I like traditional Pakistani food and Irish fish and chips. I like rain but in summer. I like to watch netflix and talk to people

      I am currently a PhD researcher at Tyndall national Institute. I have my BS and MS degree in Physics. During her BS, I worked on magnetic materials. Later on as an MS student, I did my research  on improving the hardness of aluminum alloy using laser for aerospace applications. After my MS, I continued my research on anodic aluminum oxide membranes to use in biological applications.

      Currently as a member of Biophotonics team at Tyndall, I am working on early stage detection of oral and gastrointestinal cancer. my research interests include magnetic materials, alloys, lasers, spectroscopy techniques for healthcare applications and point-of-care diagnosis devices.

    • My Typical Day: I get up in morning and reach my office at 08:30. Spend most of the day at my desk or in lab working and meeting with my collogues. came back home. have dinner. and afterwards play some games or watch Netflix with my family. I miss this old routine. At Tyndall we used to have a lot of fun and and good fun chats. we used to have cakes and treat quite often. but now due to pandemic, there is a big change in my daily routine.
