I can give you an idea maybe about electronic devices. Transistors are the main elements in any circuits in our electronic devices. These transistors can be made in different combinations to achieve a wide variety of functions. Our target is to make these transistors extremely small and operate faster with less power consumption. Currently our transistors are already very small (about say 10 nm in size, which is 1/100000 of a millimeter). Apparently scientists are still not satisfied with this size! There is a big research community in the world working on making them even smaller. You can have a look at this website (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore%27s_law) which gives you an idea how fast we are in terms of making transistors smaller and making our electronic devices more powerful. In 50 years time, I’d say that you’ll have a super powerful computer and mobile phone 🙂
