The short answer is that I decided to go with my mind rather than my heart 🙂 When it was time to apply for colleges, I sat down around a table with my family and teachers, talked about my likes, dislikes, and skills. I enjoy problem-solving and maths (which leads me to computer engineering) at least as much as I enjoy archaeology – and I could actually make some money out of it! We are actively talking to archaeology groups on how we can use computer engineering techniques for identification of ancient objects. I believe the result is a win-win.
