      We are building a kidney imaging device. In order to test our device, we had to build a fake torso and fake kidneys and try to image these with our device.

      We could replicate the kidney disorder with this model, and then see if we could detect it with out device.

      Recently I was building new equipment to empty pit latrines/toilets

      Very basic – but it has to be if its going to work in Africa…it needs not only to work here, but also to be repairable if it breaks.

      We were doing a lot of experiments to test my new designs for this. When it goes well..its great. When it fails….its a pretty dirty job!
