I never regret becoming an engineer, I only regret not putting in more effort where I could sometimes as it’d make my life easier now. Engineering is tough and there are days you wish you did something easier but the truth is every course and every job is tough and demanding in its own way.

I have a friend who studied Law in college and only had about 4 hours of classes a week and I had 30 hours, but she used to spend all of her time in the library having to read really long and complicated case files.
The most important thing when picking a field of study and job is that its in something you’re passionate about. that way on days whee you might get frustrated you wont feel (as much) regret as if you did it for other reasons.

I do not regret becoming an engineer, as well as having a career in engineering, the knowledge gained also helps me practically in my personal life. Studying to be an engineer also trains you to think analytically and to approach problems in a methodical manner, this gives me confidence that no matter what problems I face in life, I have the capability to work through them.
