  Of course you have spare time! I work 8 hours per day – sometimes a little more if I have a deadline coming up.
  I have roughly 3-4 hours spare time each evening and my weekends are free.
  Most people I know get around 20-30 days of holiday per year also.
  It is really important to have a good balance between work and free time – so that you feel fresh and enthusiastic when you come to work.

Engineering is a job and a career for me but when I am free I do other things. I think we do need to take break (mental) from work to perform and think creatively.
