I honestly don’t know, but it is very fast.
I expect it would depend on what height above ground the charge was generated, and what path it takes to discharge to earth.
Hi Alia, it takes a bit more than 8 minutes for the light from the sun to hit the earth, it needs to travel enormous distance since it travels at 300.000 km per second!
