      Oh yes, in every country in the world there are lots of engineers. And more are needed all the time.

      Exact numbers would be very hard to get, but i have heard that there are about 2 million engineers in the USA alone. I would imagine there are more than 15 million engineers in the world, at least.

      But there is always need for more engineers, they are very much in demand in every industry, so if you study engineering you will never be stuck for a job.
