In a toaster electrical energy is changed in to heat energy in little wires inside the toaster. The heat given out by these wires are what toast your bread and when the toaster has been running for a set length of time the toast will pop up.

Your toaster is just like a miniature version of a grill on a cooker, with a timer built in as well. As electricity is sent to the toaster, it allows the heating elements to heat up. They heat & toast the bread, once the timer finishes it will pop up.

My toaster doesn’t work! Well it thinks it works…like I put the bread in and after a while it pops up…but it’s not toast. Must be something wrong…I guess I need an engineer.
