• Question: what piece of science do you need to be an engineer fisics/biology etc...

      The main things you need are maths and physics. Chemistry and biology can be useful too, depending which type of engineering you go into.

      Maths and Physics are best, but in college they will teach you all of them. I only did Maths & Chemistry for the leaving cert (along with my other subjects of course) but covered Physics & biology in 1st year of college.

      I think Physics is the most useful science subject if you want to study engineering. Although I had friends in college who had done NO science subjects & they got through our degree course ok as well. Once you have an interest in something you can make it work

      Physics is good but you can get in to university without it and learn as you go along. Maths is essential.
