I live in Portmarnock with my gorgeous wife and daughter.
We like trekking in the countryside or just walking on the beach nearby whenever we can.
I love all kinds of sports and picked up underwater hockey recently (seriously, look it up, it’s a great craic! :D).
I enjoy reading tech and fantasy books the most and my all-time favourite TV show is Futurama.

My Work: I write code that makes researchers and patients happy.

Mostly, my job is about a few very interesting questions. In order to be able to answer those questions researchers need data from patients.
This is where my part is. I develop apps that help patients and while it’s helping them it also collects their data in a way that researchers can then analyse it.
For example one of the apps I’m working on is for people who have some kind of a heart problem. They wear Fitbit smart watches during the day and even when they sleep at night. Our app analyses how much they exercise, sleep, and how their heart rate changes while doing it.
This information is very valuable, because our researchers can see if they are getting better, but also because we can alert their hospital if they are getting worse. -
My Typical Day: I write code all day... No, actually not, that would melt my brain :D But I do try writing some + keeping a healthy work-life balance.

What I'd do with the money: Have you heard of Coder Dojo? It's a great craic and a fun way to try programming. I would buy some cool robots with the money for my dojo.

I’ve been considering to start a Coder Dojo for a long time now…
I’d use the money and buy some equipment for the dojo, most likely some Lego Mindstorms robots or a 3D printer so kids can who maybe couldn’t afford it otherwise can try them.
