Nanoparticles are really cool, and we are still learning about what they can do. We still have loads to learn about our brains too. So by comparing them we can find out more about both.
Some systems show the same response to electrical signals as the brain. They can also better at pattern recognition than normal computers – but not quite as good as humans. It is why on websites, to prove you are not a robot you are shown pictures.
My devices can’t grow but they can learn with the right input and could eventually work like a bridge in the brain for areas that are not ‘talking’ with each other properly without help.
There are lots of uses especially with A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) but I am hoping by working with others in my group to make it safe for use in humans. That means that it could help with Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s and Prosthetic limb’s.
