I’m an Engineer, Get me out of here! is back this March. Between the 4th and the 15th, students from fourteen schools will be putting their questions to engineers in the Space Zone.

I find patterns in nature – forests, fields, rivers and lakes – by looking through satellite images from space. Changes in these patterns show where nature is disappearing and where in the world we need to go to save it.

I use satellite imagery to study environment and write computer programs for research.

Rory Scarrot | PhD Student, University College Cork

I try to figure out how the Earth is working using satellite data, and help others to do the same.

Alison Dufresne | Propulsion and Systems Engineer, Bradford Space

I design and built engines for satellites and spacecraft which are going into deep space to hunt for asteroids and more!

Stephen O’Connor | Materials Engineer, European Space Agency

I test materials used on satellites here on Earth before they are launched so that they will work correctly when performing their mission in space.

Hannah Currivan | Engineer, Innalabs and University College Dublin

I construct miniature satellites and learn to build rockets.
