As Laura said, we probably all get fevers at some point! But these are good for you, as it is your body trying to heat up and kill the bacteria/viruses that are causing you problems.
Some women get very hot when they going through menopause, and my company created a cooling system to put on your wrists that really helps alleviate these hot flushes.
I get a fever occasionally, but thankfully not very often. I haven’t ever worked on technology related to that myself, but other engineers in the lab where I used to work were developing a cooling system for people who were missing some of their limbs. A problem which people often don’t think of for people who are missing arms or legs is that their body has a lot less surface area, which means it can be harder for the body to expel heat into its surroundings. As a result, the body can sometimes overheat.
I just have had fever when I was a child and usually my mother helped to lower the temperature with a wet towel in my forehead and stomach. If I had fever today I might follow my mom’s advice since my equipment has different intended use.
In January I had a dose of flu, which came with phases of fever followed by chills.
It wasn’t very nice, but I recovered fairly quickly. The fever obviously had the desired effect of killing the virus.
